Welcome

Welcome to the An Tir Event Stewards web site

This web site was created with the goal of making the shared knowledge of current and former event stewards accessible to everyone. We hope to function as a repository of information related to holding events and as a gateway to bring event stewards together into a more cohesive community. Here you will find the latest in news, answers to your questions, assistance in getting started, who to ask for help and tips to make holding an event easy and fun.

If you are just starting to think about running an event for the first time, you can look here for information, resources, guides and some laughter. Running an event doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

This isn’t a job, we’re not getting paid, we do this for fun!

Let’s not reinvent the wheel: If you are an experienced event steward, your knowledge and expertise will be a welcome addition to this site. If you notice a topic that’s not covered on this site already, share your knowledge! Send me an email and let’s talk about how to add that information to the site in the most useful way.

Autocrat = Event Steward = Steward
We’ve been around for more than 30 years, and it can take some time for everyone to use new titles. Per kingdom, the people who run events are called Stewards. Throughout this site, you will see all three titles used interchangeably.

    I originally posted this July 25th 2013!

“On this updated site, I’m missing the “Official How to Send in Event/Demo & Fighter Practice Waivers” contributed originally by HL Ambra da Monte, Kingdom Waiver Secretary and Nadezhda Volynskaiia, OP.”

This document is still missing – So glad that I still have a copy

When will it be posted here?

    Thanks

Nice to see that someone is attending to this site.

On this updated site, I’m missing the “Official How to Send in Event/Demo & Fighter Practice Waivers” contributed originally by HL Ambra da Monte, Kingdom Waiver Secretary and Nadezhda Volynskaiia, OP.

I’m so glad that I have a paper copy of the information because it is invaluable.

I hope that you can re-post it here soon.

    Thanks

How do I submit further articles to this website? Whom do I contact? I have an much desired Autocrat’s Checklist (which I guess i will have to re-title Event Steward’s Checklist) to share.

Thanks especially for the article on how to show proper proof of membership. That’s always a sticky issue at gate. Now we’ll keep a copy of the article to show to folks if necessary.

How exciting – a page to go to for help and ideas for events. Some ideas – venues; activities for event ( such as contests, games, tourneys) – what worked and what did not. Thanks so much for setting this up,
